The People of Kerala, India spread all over the world related to their job and thus some of them migrated to United Kingdom. Among them few are settled in Liverpool, Merseyside as a diafora community and keep their believes as their ancestors.
The Concept, Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church in Liverpool is conceived by Mr. Abraham Mamparambil, Mr. Benny M Joseph, Mr. Jose Mathew and Mr. Raju A. Paulose.
On 29th November 2003 the above said Personnel met together and decided to get permission for Holy Qurbana from the Metropolitan of Europe - H. G. Joseph Mor Gregorios. As Bishop permitted the first Holy Qurbana is established on 3rd January 2004
On 22nd January 2005 H.G.Dr.Kuriakose Mor Theophilos, Metropolitan of Europe visited our church and declared our church as part of Syrian Orthodox church.
Since 3rd January 2004 till 23rd December 2005 the Church was under the guidance by Rev. Fr. Raju C Abraham. There after the charge is handed over to Rev.Fr. Geevarghese Thandayath according to 'the Direct' received from present Europe Bishop H. G. Kuriakose Mor Theophilos.
In 2005 we specially invited Rev.Fr.Samson Meloth from Kerala, India for passion week service as granted by His Grace.
On 15th October 2005 three children were initiated to the world of letters by Rev.Fr.Raju C.Abraham after the Holy Qurbana.
To explore Christian mission through helping needy, A charity fund as been launched and is doing well.
